Game 1

Red Sox 13, Mets 7
Sunday, April 29, 2007 @ Cumberland Valley High School

The Red Sox raced to an early lead, but couldn't quite put the Mets in the rear view mirror until an 8th inning homer by Bart Miller provided some breathing room. The Mets scored twice in the top of the 1st, but Dave Strock erased the lead with a 2-run 3-run homer on his first swing of the season. The Red Sox followed up with 3 more runs in the inning. Both pitchers settled in after that, giving up a run here and there but preventing any more big rallies. Lance Strous also homered for the Sox.
